For an Applebees it is about as good as you will get

Good food. Their 2 for $22 is a good deal.

Not busy at all around 1:30pm. We had the all you can eat ribs, chicken and shrimp and endless fries. All were very good and an absolute deal at just $14.99. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger that was cooked just how he liked. Very friendly staff, although there was a gross smell like old backed up dirty sink water by the bathrooms. Not sure what was going on there.

Took my sister for her Birthday Lunch today.

There were some good and bad things about this visit but I chose 4 stars for a couple of key reasons. My wife and I are at this Applebee's on Christmas day while out of town. We were happy to find a decent place to eat that was actually open. They were heavily understaffed for the crowd, but again it was Christmas Day so somewhat understandable. We just sat at the bar to eat rather than wait on a table. The bartender was trying her best, but again she was overwhelmed trying to keep up with everyone. She was doing her best. The food was fine, nothing great but it hit the spot. The drink specials were just what we needed and hit the spot. If the service and food were on a normal week night, I probably wouldn't give this rating, but considering the circumstances, they did a pretty good job.

Order 2 Prime Rib dippers, first the meat was rubbery and tough, too many uncook I guess they called them sautéed onions and the so call dip was watery, no flavor with loads of onions floating around. You should not be selling this so call Prime rib for this price $12.99, need to take it off your menu or find a new recipe.

Had a nice time...everyone was very polite and kind.. Service was fast and very appreciative...

My visit to this Applebee's location was the best experience that I have ever had at an Applebee's restaurant. We were greeted promptly by a friendly voice from behind the bar. A very short wait to be seated, follwed by our server, Jenni immediately giving her full attention to us. Jenni was polite and cheery despite having an exceptionally difficult guest sitting behind us. The food that we ordered arrived swiftly and was prepared well. The food was delicious. The drinks were strong and good. I look forward to the next time. Thank you!

Need to update hours planned on a family dinner and was told they close at 10 pm

Took 32 minutes for my sever to get to me, I had the person who showed me to my seat even come back and ask me have you been helped and he said he would look into it another 20 mins go by and still nothing, no one should ever wait 30 plus minutes to get service, they did not take my drink order or anything in that amount of time. I will never be back here. I would recommend the Applebee’s in Blue Springs, MO. There faster, nicer and the food taste great. Avoid this Applebee’s at all cost. Even there top shelf margarita I got it. It had barley no alcohol in it. High price for nothing.

I came to the Independence, MO Applebees after work to grab dinner and some drinks. I was seated at a booth near the bar. After sitting there for 15+ minutes, the hostess finally asked me if I had been helped. I replied no. More time goes by, no one ever comes to take my order so I just got up and left. The restaurant wasn't even busy. I will probably never visit this location again. So very disappointed, was about to drop $50+ on food and drinks. I would advise people who want to eat here to drive to the Blue Springs, MO location. I'm sure one person doesn't matter to corporate but I think you should know the service there needs some work.

Menu choices limited. I was trying to eat lighter and even the salads were too many calories. I got the sirloin and it was tough. Mashed potatoes tasted "old"...like they were made the day before and reheated. My son had a burger and it had no flavor. Used to love Applebee's but not anymore. Gave it 2 stars just because the service was good.

When we got to this location and they were short staffed. We still received excellent service. It took a little longer to get a seat...but still great service.

Good food. Haven't been to one in 3-4 years because you never know if it's a good night or bad night for food. We had a really bad night years ago and a terribly bad manager. This time good food and good service. I'm wondering if it's the owners that make particular ones good vs. Others.

It was quite and relaxing. The bartender/waitress Jennifer was assume. We had the 1/2 price appetizers they were great also

Our party of 6 went on Fathers Day and my birthday. We were seated in a short time. Our waiter was excellent and had a great personality. The drinks and appetizers came quickly. Our food arrived shorty after the appetizers. The food was excellent. And for my birthday they gave me a free dessert. The prices are reasonable for a great meal.

They had really good service, and food, but we had two flies annoying us when we first got there!

Our server was excellent he checked on us multiple times was very polite and attentive. The food was actually really good this time around my bourbon chicken and shrimp with the garlicky mashed potatoes was really really good and really hot. I actually ate my whole meal. I guess this is one of the good things about the covid19 the cook wasn't overwhelmed and was able to pay attention to his cooking.

Not the best location but not the worst. Service is ok atmosphere is lackluster.

This is the best Applebees I have ever been to and Amanda was one of the nicest people I've encountered in a long time

I sat myself at the bar area. The bartender, I think her name was Rayna, was very polite and hospitable. She recommended food items, even though it was not something I wanted, but was still nice of her. She was consistently on top of making sure that I was well taken care of. I would recommend anyone to join her at her bar area.

Food wasn't too bad! The server could have been better other than that, great atmosphere very spacious.

It was such a relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was outstanding. The food was delicious and it was a great price. The alcohol was absolutely fabulous 😍 overall it was a great evening.

I was very neat, cleaning, & friendly and the staff was very professional.

Great waitress, nice dining area, and lastly great affordable menu options.

Our food was cooked perfectly. We were waited and served quickly. The only negative was our waitress didn't write our order down so I got the wrong potatoes. She fixed it right away and was very nice about it. I just feel better when someone is writing my order down.

Our Waitress was very good. The Restuarant was clean, the food was hot and prepared as ordered.It was quiet this evening but busy. Nice meal.

Traditional Applebees ambiance, friendly staff, happy hours menu with good and cheap meals. We enjoyed our food and tortilla chips as our starter. The waitress was old but she was so friendly, felt like she is a family member. Their Iced Tea is worth trying, one of the best tasting ice tea in USA. We tried tacos and chicken stake which was good enough to meet our expectations. I recommend this restaurant.

I went this afternoon to get lunch with my boyfriend. There were 4 other tables in the entire restaurant. We waited 5 minutes to be seated. We waited another 15 minutes, nobody came to our table for drinks. We got up and left. We will never be back. I was a server for 7 years and would have never just left a table sitting with no drinks, even if it wasn’t my table. Work on your team work skills.

My order was exactly like the picture loaded and hot when it made it to my front door

The food was good as of the service over the top. As for as the negative comments. .. they didn't say this location they said in kc mo ... simply typing in a few words the incident came up... watch the video for yourselves.... this is not the location but the cops said the locate and the person making the video as well..help...don't be rude..Google guides should be direct about the services and the experience...not comment or give their opinions on others experiences . the same thing happen to my daughter and I....

I ordered on the phone because the website was not working. I asked for one extra condiment and when my food was brought it was not there. No biggie since they had to bring my card in to pay. I mentioned it when the server took my card. We got our food and realized we didn't get the extras. Fine. Ok. But our normal order-fiesta lime chicken came with uncooked rice and no Mexi-ranch (which makes the dish). That leaves an overcooked chicken breast with undercooked rice and a lime...they weren't very busy so I'm confused by this level of service . The server was nice but everything else was terrible.

Went to this Applebees on Friday night. It wasn't to busy. Server was great . My sister order a sirloin steak well done and a loaded baked potato. When it came her steak was medium raw so she sent it back when it came back it was still wrong and her potato was cooked wrong it was still raw. The cook doesn't know how to cook baked potatoes or follow orders on how the customer wants their steaks. Will not go back if the cook that was working on Friday is cooking.

Food was good. Desert was delicious! Wait stuff was nice. I enjoy playing their digital table trivia games while we waited for food and while we ate.

I haven't had Applebees in months and decided to order it tonight. My car side to go waitress was awesome and the food is amazing. Thank you Applebees for an amazing meal during these difficult times. Big thank you to the cooks and waitresses still working through this! You made this girls Saturday night!

My friend took me an my two daughters to eat here tonight an the food an service was fantastic. The manger even brought out applesauce for my daughter who is almost a year old an said it was on the house. Definitely will be going back.

Good food but server was swamped. Poor thing! But did a bad job.

I purchased the whiskey burger and the margarita of the month. The burger was better than I expected it to be. The meat, onion rings, cheese, bun, tomato, pickle, and lettuce were just right. The sauce was tasty, but I wish there had been a little bit more of it on the burger. The fries were fresh, crispy, and well seasoned. Nothing unusually special about this meal..... Just a good burger and fries. All for about 10 dollars, including the drink special. 👍🍔

It was awful. After seeing 3 other tables sending their whole orders back I thought we might be in trouble. And sure enough, they over cooked my sons steak. He ordered it medium and it came out well done.

Love the food and pick up service is really fast.
